A dialogue built to listen first.

Why NGtownhall

Questions deserve answers. Answers deserve follow-up.

An opportunity gap. Good ideas for growing local economies often stay in markets, farms and workshops. NGtownhall brings them into the national conversation.

A feedback gap. What citizens experience rarely travels back to decision-makers in a form they can use. NGtownhall records it and sends it to the institution that can act.

A trust gap. Meetings without follow-up make the next meeting less believable. So we publish what was raised and what happened next, including when the answer is "no" or "not yet".

How It Works

Guiding Principles

Principles for a nation in conversation.

Unity and Faith, Peace and Progress. Nigeria's motto is also the spirit of this dialogue: citizens and leaders talking honestly about the country we are building together.

Open about who convenes

NGtownhall is convened by the All Progressives Congress (APC), and we say so openly. The conversation belongs to every Nigerian, whatever party you support, or none.

Ideas that grow the economy

Farmers, traders, artisans, entrepreneurs and young innovators share practical ideas for creating jobs, opening markets and building prosperity in every community.

Citizens lead the conversation

Nigeria's progress is shaped by the people who live it. Most of every townhall belongs to citizens, not speeches.

Fair to every voice

Independent moderators make sure every region, generation and viewpoint is heard, and that the record reflects what was really said.

Unity in diversity

From Sokoto to Calabar, every Nigerian has a seat at the table: women, young people, persons with disabilities, rural communities and critical voices alike.

Integrity at every step

No public funds, no state resources and no payment for attending. People come because they care about the country's future.

From conversation to progress

Ideas are recorded, referred to the institution that can act on them and tracked in public, so the dialogue moves Nigeria forward. A suggestion becomes a commitment only when that institution accepts it in writing.

Growing with every townhall

Each townhall is reviewed and its lessons shape the next, so the national conversation gets stronger as it travels across the country.

A National Conversation

How NGtownhall is different from an ordinary meeting.

NGtownhall brings Nigerians from every state and walk of life into one conversation about where our country is going, and how we get there together.

01

Citizens get most of the time

Presentations are capped. Roundtables, open floor and questions take up the rest of the day.

02

Moderators choose who speaks

A visible rotation by sector, gender and location. Party leaders do not select questioners.

03

Every region is heard

The dialogue travels across all six geopolitical zones, so local priorities shape national growth.

04

There is a written record

A signed record, a published report and a public tracker of what happened next.

What We Provide

Three tools that prove participation counts.

A citizen submitting a question on a phone

Citizen Question Portal

Submit a question for any townhall, by web or SMS, and follow its status with a reference number.

A public tracker of commitments and their status

Public Commitment Tracker

Every commitment accepted in writing, with the institution responsible, its target date and its current status.

An archive of townhall reports and recordings

Digital Archive

Recordings, reports and anonymised questions from every townhall, searchable and never edited after publication.

Honest About Limits

What NGtownhall can and cannot do.

NGtownhall is not a government agency. It cannot decide how public money is spent, force any institution to act, or replace official complaint channels. What it can do is record accurately, refer properly and publish openly.
